CAST Med to Open a STEAM-Focused Middle School

CAST Schools began as a high school concept, opening CAST Tech in 2017, CAST STEM in 2018, and CAST Med in 2019. Also in 2019, the Pre-K-12 Advanced Learning Academy (ALA) joined our network. In 2022, CAST Lead High School added 8th grade.

One of the key lessons we have learned from the ALA is that more time with students equals more success. Two years ago, we added 8th grade to our East Central campus, CAST Lead High School, in order to better prepare our students for high-demand, high-wage fields. We are now excited to open a STEAM-focused middle school at CAST Med High School, an opportunity for students who want to enter rigorous high schools more prepared, to experiment in a hands-on setting, and to be exposed to high-demand careers at a younger age. This year [2024], we will open to rising 6th and 8th graders, and we will add 7th grade next year.
