The Centers for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is a network of partnership schools in three school districts across San Antonio. Currently, CAST includes one pre-k through 12 campus, and three high schools with pathways designed to prepare students for high-demand local careers. CAST will open its fifth school, CAST LEAD High School in August 2020.
CAST is redefining teaching and learning with a focus on real-world experiences, and co-designing our schools with employers, industry leaders, master teachers, and education innovators.
Coding, cyber security, gaming, entrepreneurship, and business are just some of the focuses at CAST Tech. Located downtown in renovated buildings on the Fox Tech campus, students are immersed in San Antonio’s tech district with a direct link to industry partners that include H-E-B, Rackspace, Geekdom, and USAA.
Explore careers in engineering, advanced manufacturing, energy & power and global logistics at CAST STEM. In partnership with Southwest ISD and Alamo Colleges-Palo Alto College, students work alongside industry partners such as CPS Energy, Toyota, Zachry and HOLT CAT.
CAST Med opened in Fall 2019 and focuses on medicine and biomedical research to add to the pipeline of much-needed doctors and researchers in the San Antonio area. CAST Med is a partnership with San Antonio ISD and located at Brooks on San Antonio’s South Side.
