Jacob Barber

San Antonio ISD

“If no one has told you they love you, Mr. Barber loves you.”

Jacob Barber is no stranger to CAST Tech. Since 2017, he served as the assistant principal to create the leading tech-focused school in Bexar County. He was instrumental in building a community and a unique Cyberknight culture while fostering academic and career opportunities for students. Jacob Barber earned his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Texas A&M University – College Station and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Trinity University. He started his career teaching math at Kennedy High School in Edgewood ISD, where he became affectionately known by his students as “Math Dad.” At the Advanced Learning Academy, he learned how to create a school from scratch and saw firsthand how much of an impact one school can make on a student. Mr. Barber continued a track record of launching innovative schools when he joined CAST Tech.
