Pay Grade: P03 Minimum Salary: * $106,653 Mid-Point Salary: TBD

more information on our pay policy, please refer to the Compensation Resource Manual. Annualized pay may
be pro-rated based on actual start date.

Job Scope:
Oversee daily operation of a singular department or campus. Directs staff, which should include people managers,
in the development and implementation of departmental or campus policies, procedures and programs. Adheres
to both district policy and governmental regulations concerning department or campus operations. Manages
departmental or campus structure, development, training, and planning.
Position Summary:
Direct and manage instructional programs and supervise operations and personnel at the campus level. Provide
leadership to ensure high standards of instruction. Oversee compliance with district policies, instructional
programs, and operation of all campus activities.

The Academy Principal will lead the design, development and execution of a new CAST Academy (PK-8) school that
will open in 2025-2026 with early childhood grades. During this incubation year, the Academy Principal will lead
iterative design efforts with the Eastside community and SAISD, drawing upon best practices from CAST Schools,
including, but not limited to the Advanced Learning Academy. The Academy Principal will plan and facilitate
community meetings to gather input and synthesize best practices from research, conferences, and school visits to
inform the design of the Academy.
Additionally, the Academy Principal will develop and execute a comprehensive student recruitment plan to meet
the 25-26 enrollment targets, lead the development of design principles, and facilitate the design and
implementation of student-centered, place-based, and culturally responsive curriculum that integrates state
standards within larger, authentic learning opportunities and real-world work.
