How do you thank your amazing teachers? Ask your students.

The CAST Schools Student Advisory Rallies Students to Thank our Teachers

The CAST Student Advisory provides a channel for our young adults to give voice over the whole system. This year, with representatives from each of our 5 schools, they led and created a Virtual Youth Rally that included local and national speakers plus student-led workshops. As a follow-up, they asked for support to help thank their teachers. As representatives from their schools, they shared the majority of their fellow students and clubs wanted to make this year’s Teacher Appreciation Week extra special.

Serenatas, Tacos, and More

As an advisory, they brainstormed ideas, collaborated, and co-created a plan. At their campus, they partnered with additional clubs and organizations, volunteered to create posters, decorated the hallways, organized events, and yes, there were breakfast tacos for all. At CAST Med, the student mariachi surprised the team with a serenata and at CAST Lead, students even provided Macaroni and Cheese. Now that’s love!

Teachers Deserve our Thanks and Continuous Support

Our teachers at each of our campuses have been beyond amazing. They have been courageous and inventive. Strong and comforting. Resilient and encouraging. Let’s face it. They brought fun to our students every day. Whether virtual or in-person, they showcased their passion every minute. In times of need or despair, they graced our students with comfort and care. Our teachers were steadfast amid the constant pivoting and revising of lesson plans. From tech support to supply deliveries they stepped up to do it all. For that, we are thankful, especially our students.

Thank you to the CAST Student Advisory, Student Council, and the countless students that made Teacher Appreciation Week extra special.
