Discover CAST Med High School

Discover CAST Med High School, a public school in the Brooks area in San Antonio, TX, now accepting rising 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students for the 2024-2025 school year! Created in partnership between San Antonio ISD, CAST Schools, local medical professionals, and higher education institutions, CAST Med is the only medically focused, dual-language high school in south San Antonio.

A Unique High School Experience on San Antonio’s Southside

Experience a high school like no other! At CAST Med, students will:

• Learn By Doing – tackling real-world challenges designed by medical professionals.
• Get Ahead of the Game by earning college credits and taking advantage of job shadowing, mentorships, and internship opportunities to FAST-TRACK their career in the medical field 
• Learn beyond the classroom – from student clubs to travel opportunities to giving back to your community, explore the multiple experiences available at CAST Med

Located in Brooks, CAST Med serves over 200 9th – 12th grade students in partnership with San Antonio ISD, CAST Schools, local medical professionals, and higher education institutions. At CAST Med High School, students prepare for a variety of medical professions with pathways in healthcare and biomedical sciences, have the opportunity to earn college credit at Texas A&M – San Antonio, and gain a significant advantage by earning industry-recognized certifications such as Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Biotechnician Assistant, and more, setting them apart in their chosen fields.

New Middle School for the 2024-2025 School Year

In partnership with San Antonio ISD, CAST Schools will open a new middle school at CAST Med in August 2024. The new middle school will help prepare students for rigorous STEAM high schools by providing opportunities to discover their passions, identify their strengths, and explore multiple college and career opportunities. The new middle school is now accepting rising 6th and 8th-grade students for the 2024-2025 school year.

Open to Students Across the Greater San Antonio Region

CAST Med and the new middle school are open to all students across the greater San Antonio region. If you know of another student who may benefit from an education at CAST Med, bring them along. All are welcome to explore the school.
