CAST Welcomes New Teachers at Teacher Fest

Date

As part of CAST’s onboarding process for new educators for this upcoming school year, CAST participates in an annual “Teacher Fest” to welcome the new teachers and introduce them to other educators already established within the CAST model.

At this year’s Teacher Fest, over 40 teachers attended, with 20 of them being new to CAST. The event was designed to welcome and celebrate educators new to the CAST Network, providing insights into the organization’s history, mission, and the wealth of resources available to support these new teachers in their work.

After being given a brief overview of CAST’s history, the educators were provided with onboarding toolkits, a presentation on Authentic Learning, a Blended Learning implementation guide, and a Project-Based Learning Roadmap. After the final presentation, the new educators understood the history and work of CAST and left the event feeling connected, valued, supported, assured, equipped and ready to launch a successful year with the CAST Network. To all of our new teachers for the 2024-25 school year, welcome to the CAST familia!
