One student will walk away with a college scholarship to study art at the University of the Incarnate Word as Advanced Learning Academy, CAST Med, CAST Tech and other San Antonio ISD schools debut its first Campus Collaborative Art Fair at the university. Students from 11 SAISD choice school programs will be showing their work in the university’s art gallery. The collaborative effort may be the first time students from multiple schools coordinated the showcasing of their artistic talents in one location.
The Art will be displayed at the Kelso Art Center/Semmes Gallery at the University of Incarnate Word from March 25th thru April 8th with an opening reception this Friday, March 25th from 5pm-8pm.
The opening reception will see the students’ art judged by local professionals who will be awarding first, second, and third place and honorable mention in three categories: 2D, 3D and collaborative work.
To cap off the night, judges will award a scholarship to attend UIW and study art to the senior who wins the Best of Show Award.
