Alex Bazan, CAST Tech ‘23 has been pursuing a degree in Design at UT Austin. At UT, Alex supports fellow first-generation college students as a resident assistant. Additionally, Alex enjoys biking across Austin, working in the woodshop, and volunteering. 

Recently, Alex landed a Product Design Internship with Microsoft which he will complete this upcoming summer. Alex shared that this was the first year that he has interviewed with big companies like Microsoft, and he is “grateful to have this opportunity to explore their headquarters in Redmond Washington!”

Alex believes that without CAST Tech, he would not be where he is today, especially in regards to his professional career. CAST Tech provided Alex with an opportunity to learn UX Design at a young age, which in turn provided Alex with an edge that allowed him to gain his first industry experience as an Intern with H-E-B. Alex has spent the past three summers at H-E-B, which has provided him with valuable experience. This experience, along with his education, has prepared him to take on an exciting new opportunity with Microsoft this summer.
