Over 250 parents and family members joined the Advanced Learning Academy Solar Eclipse Event to watch the partial eclipse and participate in STEM activities. The event, led by Jon Cacy, a 7th-grade science teacher, included certified safety glasses provided by the San Antonio ISD Office of Academics and multiple activities, including Microscope Mystery, Mission to Mars and the Moon, Space Docking, Straw Rockets, and more. The Advanced Learning Academy would also like to thank ALA faculty Jessica Ballard, Kristie Gonzalez, Letisia Garza, Dina Toland, Chrissy Leal, Tania Carbonaro, Craigg Woodman, Haile Hullings, Sam Glass, Ana Rababo, Payton Ayala, JoJanie Moreno, Ben Proscelle, and Ariel Trevino for volunteering to facilitate STEM stations at the event.
