WHAT: Experience what tenth-grade students from the Advanced Learning Academy (ALA), a San Antonio ISD and CAST Network partnership school, explored during their recent trip to Puebla, México, and students who stayed in San Antonio explored by visiting local landmarks.
Students who traveled to México explored the sites and student life at Universidad de las Americas, Puebla (UDLAP), visited Teotihuancan, the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the 5 de Mayo Battlefield, the Amparo Museum, and more. Students who stayed in San Antonio met with Chef Johnny Hernandez of La Gloria, Juan Sepulveda from Trinity University and toured The Pearl, The Mexican Cultural Institute, and participated in a mural walk.
Today, students will present their findings at the Age of Exploration Showcase to include photos, art, food, and personal reflections.
