Learn how to use social media platforms to showcase your school’s unique experience and community. Open to all rising 10th and 11th-grade students at each CAST campus and to incoming freshmen at CAST Teach High School.
CAST Schools is looking for a student who will be primarily responsible for consolidating data from multiple sources into a single CAST Network CRM database. This database will be accessed by a handful of network leaders in order to easily conduct analyses of school demographics and performance metrics across the network.
CAST Schools is looking for students enrolling in 10th or 11th grade who are interested in learning about collecting, analyzing, and reporting data in areas such as school demographics, website engagement, and marketing outcomes.
CAST Schools is looking for students who are interested in learning about data storytelling of information generated by our research projects. Someone who is interested in graphics is a plus.
Create content and make updates to the CAST Schools website. You’ll learn how to make our website more compelling and user-friendly.
Students: this is your chance to enhance the PBL process at your school. If you love to plan exciting activities and experiences for fellow classmates and making new friends are the highlights.
Help craft stories that showcase the unique CAST Schools experience and leverage different mediums to share those stories. You will reflect on your own experience and work with other students across the network.
Tafolla Toro uses theater and literature to provide 9th-grade CAST students with the opportunity to explore their identity by reflecting on and recognizing when they need help. Student mentors will help support writers who are transforming the book into a play.
Youth Rally internships will consist of one student advisory member from each school. During the summer there will be four zoom meetings so that we can begin planning the next youth rally.
Help us better communicate with our Spanish-speaking families by creating content for use on social media and the website. Must be fluent in Spanish and have excellent writing skills.
Students help welcome new CAST students to our network. The CAST Summer Studio program is for incoming 9th graders and new to CAST 10th graders to develop student agency, purpose, and self-expression through exploration of the theme of self and identity. The program also builds cross-network relationships among CAST peers and teachers.
Help strengthen our partnerships with Industry and Community. Create a jobs board and systems to invite, highlight, and celebrate our partners.
Assist the CAST Schools Communications and Marketing team with content creation for social media, newsletters, events and the website.
CAST Alumni Network is looking for graduating seniors who feel strongly connected to CAST Schools and would like to continue to foster relationships with their peers post-graduation.
The Centers for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Network is a tax-exempt organization as described in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. CAST Schools are partnership schools with a focus on STEM careers, project based learning and work-based learning. Key partners include public school districts, higher education institutions, and local employers from target industries.
