Nicole Amri is a multi-disciplinary artist, teaching artist, cultural worker and the new Director of Development for the CAST Schools network. She also works as a creative nonprofit & small business management consultant and chairs the board of Sana Roots Co. After 16 years in nonprofit creative youth development, Amri uses her skills to advocate and nurture community through education/training/mentoring, collaborative projects and her own art. Her artwork predominantly explores human rights issues, health and spirituality. Amri received her BFA in Painting and BA in Communication: Public Relations and a professional certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She is also a 2006 alumna and former Co-Executive Director of SAY Sí, a locally and nationally recognized out-of-school time program for young artists in San Antonio.
The Centers for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Network is a tax-exempt organization as described in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code. CAST Schools are partnership schools with a focus on STEM careers, project based learning and work-based learning. Key partners include public school districts, higher education institutions, and local employers from target industries.
