On Tuesday, CAST STEM High School was able to give tours to JCB, a local construction equipment manufacturer. The tour, which was spearheaded by two of CAST STEM’s very own students, allowed JCB to explore the school’s new campus located at Palo Alto College, and examine how CAST STEM prepares its students for positions in science, technology and engineering positions.

JCB’s representatives were able to have their answer questions firsthand by students at CAST STEM as they discovered why CAST STEM is the #1 engineering school in San Antonio’s south side. The tour was able to give JCB an insight into CAST STEM’s attention to detail in preparing its students for college and career, along with the potential for future internships and apprenticeships for CAST STEM brilliant students in the future.

When she spoke with JCB after the tour, principal Jacqueline Rodriguez highlighted the importance of prioritizing student voice at CAST STEM:

If you want to know what’s happening [on campus], ask the students.
