Students Will Participate in the 3rd Annual CAST Schools Youth Rally and Discover Ways to ‘Empower Student Voice’
WHAT:
Students from across the CAST Network of schools will join the 3rd annual CAST Schools Youth Rally on Friday, April 21 at the DoSeum. This event is entirely produced by the CAST Schools Student Advisory, a group of 30 students who’ve worked for months to design and create a day-long rally filled with workshops and experiences to help students find and elevate their voice. This event is created by students for students.
This year’s theme, Empowering Student Voice, includes workshops such as Whatever Floats Your Boat, Breaking Barriers Through Speech, Debate, Fold Your Feelings, and more. Student Advisory members get hands-on experience organizing a large event, including all the logistics and details, and develop leadership skills that prepare them for college, career, and life. The event is made possible by the support of sponsors: H-E-B, UP Partnership, CPS Energy, the DoSeum, HOLT CAT, T. Donovan Creative, Firstmark Foundation, Frost Bank, H. E. Butt Foundation, and SAVE Clinic. Click here for the event website.
