Priam Nuques: CAST Alumni Spotlight

Since graduating from  CAST STEM in 2024, Priam Nuques has been attending St. Mary’s University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Energy. Priam has also been maintaining a strong relationship with  a CAST Industry Partner, Lancer Worldwide. During high school Priam completed an initial internship with Lancer and because of that opportunity Priam has been invited back to work with them every subsequent summer. Most recently, he was offered a position as a Laboratory Technician within the Lancer engineering department. This opportunity has given Priam hands-on experience in the field while teaching  him how engineering concepts work in the real world. Priam is extremely grateful for both CAST STEM and Lancer Worldwide for investing in his growth

”Choosing to attend CAST STEM High School was truly the best decision my parents ever made for my future, and I am incredibly grateful for their guidance.” Priam started high school at the peak pandemic which presented unique challenges, but the unwavering support from the teachers and administration made all the difference.  Thanks to their dedication, the rigorous academic curriculum, and the project-based learning opportunities, Priam was able to grow both personally and professionally. These moments did not just shape Priam’s high school years; they fueled his drive to pursue mechanical engineering. Priam will always be thankful for Mrs. Walter’s and the entire CAST STEM community for investing in his potential.

When Priam looks back at his journey he is most proud of not just the milestones themselves, but the resilience it took to reach them and the incredible community that stood by him. While Priam was balancing. high school while earning an Associate’s degree from Palo Alto College was far from easy. There were many moments of self-doubt and difficulty, but Priam’s parents never let him give up, anchoring him with their. constant guidance and strength.

Looking ahead, Priam’s goal is to continue growing as an engineer, building upon the incredible opportunities he has already had.  The support from his parents and the foundational years he spent at CAST STEM High School have provided him with the tools and experiences needed to succeed. “I am deeply thankful for where I come from, and I am excited to carry the CAST STEM legacy forward into my career”.
