Our Mission

Co-create learning experiences within and beyond the classroom in order to maximize options for students and prepare them for future careers in education.

Transforming Teaching. Transforming Our Community.

Created in partnership with Northside ISD,  the CAST Schools Network, and the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Education and Human Development, the school will rally multiple industries to create future educators that will transform our community.

A Unique Experience

Elevate Youth Voice and Agency
Take ownership of your future by co-creating and co-problem solving with us. Teachers will act as facilitators and guides as students authentically engage in their education by offering new ideas and posing questions about teaching and learning and how to elevate education to a world-class career.
Co-create your plan for future success
Our small class sizes will provide our teachers with the opportunity to meet students where they are and customize a plan for future success to include mission and purpose development, teamwork, and communications skills to design the schools of the future.
Create Your Professional Network
Through our deep partnerships with local and national industry and educational leaders, students at CAST Teach will create relationships with transformative leaders in education, will put their learnings into practice through mentorships, job-shadowing, internships, and field experiences, and opportunities.
Gain authentic learning experiences that matter (Field Experiences)
Explore multiple careers in education, including teaching and training, early learning, and interdisciplinary learning. Tackle real-world, real classroom needs through project-based learning, field experiences, and innovating in the classroom and beyond.
Accelerate Your Pathway to Career (Career Exploration)
Minimize the cost of college and elevate your resume in the workforce. All students will have access to college-based experiences plus transferable college credits at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Students will also have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certificates such as Child Development Associate or Educational Aide I.
