CAST Sponsor Highlight: H-E-B

H-E-B has been a longtime friend and supporter of CAST Schools, showing up year after year to invest in our students and the futures they’re building. Their partnership isn’t just about writing checks—it’s about believing in young people and helping them grow into confident leaders ready to take on the world. From day one, H-E-B has stood beside CAST, making sure students feel seen, heard, and supported.

Every year, H-E-B helps bring some of our most meaningful student-led events to life. Three Years of Fear is a student-produced stage play inspired by Tafolla Toro by Lorenzo Gomez III, a powerful coming-of-age story set in San Antonio’s West Side. With H-E-B’s support, students bring this story to the stage, connecting themes of mental health, identity, and resilience to their own lives and communities. H-E-B also sponsors Speak Up Speak Out, a civic engagement competition that challenges students to tackle real issues in their neighborhoods, and the Youth Rally, where students from all CAST campuses come together to collaborate, share ideas, and inspire one another.

What sets H-E-B apart is how personally they invest in the students behind these events. Their team shows up not just as sponsors, but as mentors, judges, and cheerleaders by offering guidance, encouragement, and a strong reminder that students have the power to make a difference. It’s about being present, not just writing a check.

At its core, H-E-B’s support is about believing in student voice and what happens when young people are trusted to lead. They know that education doesn’t stop at the classroom door—it continues in the moments when students stand on stage, speak their truth, or organize a rally. With H-E-B by their side, CAST students know their voices matter, and their futures are full of possibility.
