Labiba Tatana, CAST Med ‘25 has been thriving through her first year at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Labiba is majoring in neuroscience with a concentration in pre-medical neuroscience and has already completed 48% of her program. Once she completes her degree at UTSA, she plans on attending medical school to pursue her career goal of becoming a surgeon.
Labiba shared that school has been going incredibly well, even as she balances a 17-hour credit load that has been keeping her busy. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Labiba was also a recipient of the 2025 College Assistance Program. This financial support has helped her navigate the various expenses that have come up throughout her first year of college such as textbooks and essential materials for her classes. Labiba shared that “the College Assistance Program has been a lifesaver”. We are proud of Labiba’s success and her commitment to her career goals, and are glad that the CAP program has helped her through her first year at college.
The College Assistance Program application is open now through March 31st for current CAST senior students. The application is linked here. If you are interested in contributing to the CAST College Assistance Program to support a CAST student through their first year of college, please donate here.
