THE POWER OF INVESTING IN YOUNG PEOPLE
Many schools offer academic excellence, but CAST goes above and beyond academics to provide meaningful opportunities that expose public school students to high-wage, high-demand jobs, gain college credits, and set a course for their future.
As a nonprofit that partners with four public school districts to advance economic freedom, CAST Schools tests new approaches to teaching and learning to be scaled by our public school partners. Created in 2017 with the support of civic leaders, we have grown to a network of 7 schools, including one Pre-K-12 Academy, one middle school and one school serving 8th – 12th grade students.
In a city that boasts rapid economic growth but is economically segregated, CAST shows the POWER OF INVESTING IN YOUNG PEOPLE.
The cost differential to prepare CAST students for college, career and life is approximately $802.38 per student. This helps us fund Youth Voice platforms like arts experiences, writing, theater, video production, student-led conferences and more. As well this helps us fund Career-Readiness efforts like internships, apprenticeships and jobs, travel, and hiring events that make the CAST experience special.
