3rd annual CAST Schools Champions Reception and Student Showcase will Honor Industry Partners

CAST Schools will hold its 3rd annual Champions Reception and Student Showcase on May 18 at Boeing Center at Tech Port.

This event celebrates industry and community partners who have supported schools and students all year. These partners provide students access and exposure to multiple careers through internships, mentorships, and other work-based opportunities. They also help CAST teachers create authentic learning experiences to ensure students are up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in their chosen pathways.

 

Students from across the network showcase their passion projects which include the CAST STEM Electric Car, ACE Mentoring, Project-Based Learning Presentations, Speak Speak Speak Out Civics Fair, CAST Teach Teacher Takeover and more.

 

Jeanne Russell, CAST Schools Executive Director, CAST Schools students and principals from Advanced Learning Academy, CAST Tech, CAST Med, CAST STEM, CAST Lead and CAST Teach High School will celebrate this year’s honorees:

  • Advanced Learning Academy: Lorena Herrera, SandTech Solutions

  • CAST Lead: Michelle Madson, San Antonio Hotel and Lodging Association (SAHLA)

  • CAST Med: Dr. Kevin Kirk, TSAOG Orthopaedics and Spine

  • CAST STEM: Beki Hutchison, HoltCat

  • CAST Teach: Ryan Purtell, Stevens High School Principal

  • CAST Tech: Jennifer Solis, Accenture

  • CAST Network: Eugene Jimenez, The DoSeum
