“Reflecting on my time at CAST Lead High School, I can confidently say it was a transformative and inspiring chapter in my life,” Rocko Herrera, CAST Lead ‘24, shared with CAST Network. Since graduating last year, Rocko has been pursuing a bachelor’s degree at UTSA, with the goal of working in the field of cultural psychology while simultaneously working at H-E-B. In his free time, Rocko has been enjoying traveling, and concertgoing.
Recently, Rocko was accepted into the highly competitive Disney College Program. This paid internship opportunity will allow Rocko to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, develop valuable transferable skills, and connect with industry professionals at the Walt Disney World Resort. Rocko shared with us that he is “beyond excited for this journey and look forward to living and working at the most magical place on Earth for five months.”
As a CAST Alumnus, Rocko acknowledged that CAST Lead provided him with “essential life and professional skills- including customer service, hospitality, public speaking, networking, teamwork, and communication”. Rocko is making CAST proud as he continues to thrive and apply all that he learned at CAST Lead to further his success in both academic and professional settings.
