Purpose

To explore and immerse oneself in Mexican culture and history and visit Universidad de las Americas (UDLAP) in Puebla, Mexico and learn about opportunities for further study.

Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP)

A Mexican private university located in San Andrés Cholula, near Puebla. Over fifty 10th graders visited the university in 2022.

A private charter bus will transport us to Puebla, Mexico (2 Hours)

How to Join Us

Trip Costs

$650 or $250 (if your family qualifies for free or reduced lunch)

  • The true cost of the trip per student is approximately $900. You only pay a portion of this cost.
  • Campus-based fundraising & campus funds will partially subsidize the trip for all students. If your family is in a position the the pay the full cost of the trip, the funds will be used to help make this trip possible for everyone.
  • This subsidized rate covers: All lodging at UDLAP; Food; Transportation, Entry Fees, and Travel Insurance
  • NO student will be left behind because of costs.
  • The price does not include: All personal expenses such as extra meals, snacks, beverages, telephone calls and passport fees

Payment Timeline

  1. May 26: Submit Travel Commitment Form
  2. June 9: Travel Deposit Due ($75/$25)
  3. July 1:  Apply for passport if your child does not have one. ($100 – $130) Routine: 8-11 week processing 
  4. August 9: Payment #1 Due @ Gators Going Back ($290/$115)
  5. September 26: Payment #2 Due @ Gators Are Back ($285/$110)
