Guiding Question: How does (the oil) industry affect the economy and environment of the Texas coast
1. Students will investigate the effects of the oil industry by meeting with representatives from oil companies, ecologists at the University of Texas and Galveston Island State Park, and historians at the Ocean Star offshore oil drilling museum.
2. Summative Product: Students will create a policy recommendation that they will send into their Texas state representative and senator.
