Students will explore the importance of the Southwest to the cultural, artistic, environmental, and scientific fabric of our identity as a country. Specifically, students will actively participate in authentic learning experiences at a variety of national landmarks throughout New Mexico to answer the questions:
How does scientific advancement impact the environment and culture of a community?
How can the geography and history of a place affect the community’s connection to arts, culture, and government?
